Illinois COVID Update: IL reports 408 cases, 23 deaths

CHICAGO (a) – Illinois health officials reported 408 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 and 23-related deaths on Wednesday.

A total of 1,386,262 cases of Covid disease have been reported, including 22,997 deaths in the state since the start of the pandemic.

In the last 24 hours, laboratories have reported testing a total of 24,991,516 pieces of 41,758 samples since the pandemic began.

The first seven-day statewide test rate is 1.3% from June 2 to June 8.

As of Tuesday evening, 797 patients in Illinois were reported to be hospitalized with COVID-19. Of these, 209 patients were in the ICU and 109 were in the KOVID-19 respirator.

As of Tuesday evening, a total of 11,708,874 vaccines had been administered in Illinois. The average daily value of vaccines administered daily was 45,852. A dose of 50,231 doses was reported in Illinois on Tuesday.
Officials reported on Wednesday that more than 68% of adults had been vaccinated with KOVID and 51% had been fully vaccinated.

The deaths reported on Wednesday include:
-Adams County: 1 man, 80 years old
-Champaign County: 1 female 80s
-Cook County: 1 man 30 years old, 1 woman 40 years old, 1 man 40 years old, 1 woman 50 years old, 1 woman 60 years old, 2 women 70 years old, 1 man 70 years old, 1 woman 80 years old, 1 man 90 years old
-DuPage County: 1 male 60 years old
-Gruni County: 1 male over 70 years of age
-Kane County: 1 man, 80 years old

-Local County: 1 woman 80s
-Madison County: 1 woman, 70 years old
-McLan County: 1 woman 60 years old
-Rock Island County: 1 woman 70 years old, 1 year 70 years old
-Tazewell County: 1 woman 80 years old
-Vermilion County: 1 male, 50 years old
-Winnebago County: 1 man, 50 years old
