Ashley Banjo has revealed that he is “very sad” to see John Barrowman’s exit from the jury panel of Dancing on Ice.

ITV has previously confirmed that 54-year-old John will not be part of the panel for the upcoming series of the skating show, five months after he apologized for exposing himself to historical events.

Speaking to the Daily Star on Sunday, 33-year-old Ashley said she was in touch after John left the show.

She said: ‘I am very sad to see John leave the show. I’m going to miss him. I sent him a short message, “You will miss, John”.

Ashley will join the jury of Dancing on Ice with Christopher Dean and Jane Torvill in 2018 and John in 2019.

Ashley stressed that she plans to remain friends with John: ‘We are all human’.

The television personality had previously agreed to ‘Tomfoolery’ on the Doctor Who set.

He started playing Captain Jack Harkness in 2005 and spin-off series Torchwood a year later.

Regarding the ax, a source told The Sun: ‘It’s devastating to him. ITV clearly thinks that having a person like John on a family-friendly show on center stage is not a good idea.

An ITV spokesman said MailOnline would not return to the John Dancing Show but will be back on the channel when they return to host All Star Musicals.

Representatives of the channel said: ‘We thank John Barrowman for two wonderful years at Dancing on Ice Panel and are delighted to be working with him again as host of the upcoming All Star Musicals Special.’

Insiders on the show added that ‘John has not been dismissed from Dancing on Ice’ and we will continue to work with him on ITV. ‘

Former strict judge Arlene Phillips, 78, has been advised to replace her.

No charges have been leveled against the media personality following the allegations of sexual misconduct against his Doctor Who co-star Noel Clark in May.

These events have been revealed in a recurring video on YouTube since 2014 and filmed at the Chicago TARDIS Scientific Conference.

It was released by The Guardian magazine, which investigated Clark’s behavior in the Doctor Who set.

In an interview in front of a live audience, Clark reveals himself to fellow cast members Annette Badland and Camille Koduri, ‘every five seconds’, with John’s behavior in the Doctor Who set.

Noel later joked with the audience not to do it in their workplace or they could go to jail in a shocking clip.

Clark apologized ‘deeply’ for his actions and said he was seeking professional help, but had “vehemently” denied sexual misconduct or criminal conduct.

In an interview with Weekend Magazine, John said his behavior on the set was to “reduce the awkwardness” while shooting the sex scene in Torchwood.

He said: ‘I was the star of Torchwood as Captain Jack Harkness, so I thought it was up to me to lead the company and entertain them. When I do a nude scene or a love scene it is clear in the script that I am naked and everyone knows about it at least 48 hours in advance.

‘So I’m just waiting in my trailer, wearing a robe with a sock on my “parts”. Then, as I wait for the scene to be filmed I have to be naked and if anyone comes to see, I joke to appease them and me.

‘My actions are simply designed to mitigate any potential awkwardness between the cast and crew.’

He said: ‘I’ve never been a shy person about his body, so it doesn’t bother me if someone looks at me naked. The motivation I call my “tomfoolery” is to maintain a playful atmosphere. There was absolutely nothing sexual about my actions and no blame on me. ‘

John revealed that Doctor Who and Torchwood had called a meeting with executive producer Julie Gardner, who told them to rule in their behavior.

The actor said he can now see his behavior as ‘juvenile’ and that is not what he does today.

It comes after John told The Guardian that his ‘high-spirited behavior’ set and ‘intended only in good humor’ to lure colleagues behind the scenes – and not sexual harassment – has apologized for his past behavior.

‘With the benefit of the past vision, I understand that I may have been upset by my overconfidence and I have apologized in the past,’ he said. ‘Since my apology in November 2008, my understanding and behavior have also changed.’
