Jordan Bohannan, the Iowa Hawkeyes all-time assist and leader in the 3 Pointers, was sucked-punched at an Iowa City bar on Sunday, according to the gazette.
According to a news release from the University of Iowa, the 23-year-old suffered a “serious head injury” in the attack and is recovering after receiving medical attention.
“Thankfully, Jordan is recovering after being attacked by a man he didn’t see near him,” Iowa men’s basketball coach Fran McCaffrey said in the release. “We were immediately apprised of the incident. We are grateful that the friends who were with Jordan at the time prevented this incident from escalating. His health is our number one concern.”
A video circulated online showing the attack. As per reports, no charges have been filed and investigation is on.
Bohannon plans to return to Iowa for the sixth semester in the upcoming academic year.
