According to Spanish reports, Sergio Aguero is ready to retire from football due to his recent heart problems.
He says the 33-year-old will officially announce his retirement decision at a press conference, which is expected to be scheduled next week.
Aguero was hospitalized last month after suffering heartburn and shortness of breath in Barcelona’s Alaves.
He has only played five matches for his new club since his transfer last summer.
If an ornate front-runner moves away from the sport as a result of his heart problems, it could end his 19-year professional career.
Atletico began his career in his home country of Argentina before moving to Madrid, where he made his name as a world-class striker.
He scored more than 100 goals for Atletico, winning his first Europa League at the club.
From there, he signed for Manchester City and became a club legend – helping him win an impressive five Premier League titles.
Aguero comes off as one of the greatest strikers ever to score an incredible 184 goals in the Premier League.
