Jerry Jones snatches up vaccinated Amari Cooper for missing games

With the Cowboys playing the Las Vegas Raiders on Thanksgiving, Amari Cooper loses his second consecutive game due to NFL COVID protocols. A positive test for the virus when not vaccinated means 10-day quarantine.

Jones, 105.3 Speaking with The Fan in Dallas On Tuesday, Cooper expressed frustration over how his vaccination status had affected the team.

“Amari Cooper is the best. He is one of the highest character guys you can ever have in any area. They are the best in their introspection and how they do things, “Jones said.” No one is saying they are not the best, but this is a classic case of how it affects the team. At the end of the day, it’s the team. You can’t win anything in person. … The point is, this is pop for us. It was very encouraging to us.

Jerry Jones is frustrated Amari Cooper has lost his second game when not vaccinated.

If Cooper is vaccinated, they are eligible for a return if they are asymptomatic for 48 hours and two negative tests within 24 hours.

Former Legendary Cowboys receiver Michael Irwin also had a few choice words for Cooper.

“I’m totally hot about it.” Irwin told TMZ earlier this week. “Are you kidding ?!”

Irwin is of the opinion that Cooper’s substantial salary makes the decision more confusing.

“I’ve got a guy on the bench who doesn’t play at home and makes $ 21 million,” Irvine continued. “It’s insane.”

The 27-year-old Cooper missed Sunday’s game against the Chiefs, losing to the Cowboys 19-9. This season, Cooper has 44 catches for 583 yards and five touchdowns in nine games. Dallas is 7-3 and first in the NFC East.
