Jessica Simpson said she was once unknowingly the second woman in a secret relationship with a “big movie star” when she was younger.
The “I Want To Love You Forever” singer wrote in an Amazon article published Wednesday that she met the unnamed movie star, whom she met on the red carpet at the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards. Said of his “teenage fantasy” while walking and realized he was going to “pass out” when she hugged him.
She wrote in “Movie Stars: They Always Say They’re Single” that the actor, who she “grew up thinking was so hot, turned it up and down.”
He got her number but didn’t call her.

This weekend, Simpson again ran into the movie star at a gym and told her he could be the “lead man” in her new music video.
The shoot was unsuccessful and five days later, she said she was back with boyfriend Nick Lachey after a break.

Simpson wrote that she avoided it because she “didn’t want to appear anywhere near a home wrecker.”
