William Regal is a true veteran of the world of professional wrestling, having competed all over the world before making his way to WWE. He was the creative mind behind NXT and helped develop the brand before Vince McMahon took office. Looks like Jim Cornett William Regal wants to go to AEW.
The company is set to release several talents and staff members following NXT’s New Year’s Evil this week. This included names such as William Regal, which came as a shock to many.
“And again, what does AEW want? The coaches, coaches and teachers and the WWE have let some of the best go. And, with Regal, they mean so much to such a large number of stars, they don’t like it. So it’s an incredible acquisition. Anyone who believes most of the modern-day wrestlers have gotten a direct pipeline can be picked back up.
Regal may hire talent for Tony Khan for the next ten years and will not find everyone who wants to come for him. And nobody raised it, so, everybody says, “Oh, how great he is, how great a coach he is,” and nobody raised it. WWE has given Tony Khan a skeleton key to his talent closet.
WWE talents have been said to be depressed after the release of William Regal. William Regal’s contributions to the WWE and especially to NXT are in no way diminished. We’ll have to wait and see if Regal makes his way to AEW.
