Jordan Peele revealed on Friday Appearing on Late Night with Seth Meyers he said he bought Corey Feldman’s prosthetic ear from the 1986 film Stand By Me.

The 43-year-old actor said he won the ear at an auction held by Feldman for his 50th birthday.

“When he was auctioning off the ear he wore as Teddy from ‘Stand by Me,’ I think I bought it for a pretty amazing price,” Peele said. “When I said it out loud, I realized how terrible it was. This is not something you should share. “

“I told him and he was like, ‘Hang on, you’ve got an ear,'” Peele said. “I was like, ‘Yeah,’ and he said, ‘Man, I’m so glad it’s you.’

Peele said he listened to Feldman, 51, at Lincoln Center’s “Lost Rider: Chronicles of a Hollywood Victim,” a series featuring several of Feldman’s films, including “Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter,” “Stand By Me.” and the unpublished “The Birthday.”

“I have a new friendship with Corey Feldman, which I’m very proud of,” Peele said.

“He invited me and my producer to his house. We went to his house, it was amazing. It has memorabilia and other things. By the way, if you don’t know Corey Feldman, then first of all, you’re a kid. But it’s like one of the greatest teenage icons of all time.”

“We’re going to visit and there’s a movie he’s showing called ‘The Birthday Party’ that hasn’t been shown yet,” Peele continued. “If you’re a cinephile, if you want to fully experience what I just saw, it’s a treasure. So that’s what leads to a lost film, because ‘No’ itself is about exploitation and erasure.”

Feldman also previously joked that the wearer of the ear would have endless ways to use the accessory.

“I don’t know what to do with the ear,” Feldman said. “Wear it on Halloween, throw darts at it, use it as a coaster! The possibilities are endless.”
