Norfolk, Neb. () – The City Council in Norfolk, Nebraska approved the appointment of Justin Snort as Ward 3 representative.
Mayor Josh Moening appointed Snort to the seat after former Councilman Jay Gary Jackson resigned in January. The City Council approved Moening’s appointment on February 1.
City officials say Snorton has been a resident of Norfolk since 2002 and looks forward to serving Ward 3 residents. Snorton says his top priorities are supporting growth and making Norfolk a destination for new residents and families.
“I am honored for this appointment and to serve a community that has served me all these years,” Snorton said.
Snorton Tyson Foods Inc. is employed as a senior manager for contract manufacturers, where he has been working for the past 27 years.
“Justin has a great story; he chose Norfolk to be his home and now wants to make sure the community thrives in the future. He’s forward-looking, thoughtful, and Norfolk,” Moenning said. is committed to working to make Co a welcoming, vibrant city.
Snorton will be officially sworn in and begin his duties at the Norfolk City Council meeting on February 6.
