Vice President Kamala Harris was roasted on Thursday for being “absolutely incompetent” after a recent report raised some concerns among Democrats over her “basic political skills.”
The criticism comes as Harris’ husband, Second Gentleman Douglas Amhoff, has played a key role in the White House’s response to antisemitism as the first Jewish spouse of a president or vice president.
“Why is he able and his wife is not?” former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer asked on “The Faulkner Focus.”

Harris faced intense scrutiny for what some critics would call an awkward word salad during the Congressional Space Medal of Honor ceremony honoring former NASA astronauts earlier this week.
“She talks like she’s reading a pop-up book to a bunch of 4-year-olds,” Fleischer said of her comments. “The way she speaks … she’s not a serious vice president. She’s not a serious candidate. She bows to the public eye, and that’s because we see who she really is.”
“You ask anybody in California who knew her as attorney general, they’ll say she wasn’t up for the job,” he continued. “Then as a senator, she was able to just hide in the rhetorical salad because so many of them do, and now as vice president it shows. So we have a vice president who Totally unfit to ever be president, and that’s alarming.”

Fleischer applauds the other gentleman’s efforts of goodwill and argues that his role should be separated from his wife’s lack of political skill.
“I think what he’s doing, especially raising the issue of antisemitism, is worthy,” Fleischer said. “That’s fine, and I’m not going to do to her what the Democrats did to then-Vice President Cheney’s wife, Lynne Cheney, where they criticized her because she was a conservative.”
“I don’t care what the vice president’s husband’s politics are when he does things like this. He’s doing good, and we as Americans should be proud that he’s standing up against antisemitism. ” he continued.
Harris’ approval rating has fallen, with a Fox News poll showing just 39 percent of Americans approve of his job performance, as questions are raised about Biden’s re-election bid.
“We have a vice president who cannot be president of the United States,” Fleischer concluded. “She is not qualified. She was not elected because she could step in and do the right thing, if God forbid, something happened. She was elected for other democratic reasons. “
