Country singer Kellie Pickler’s husband, Kyle Jacobs, passed away three months ago, and the cause of his death has finally been revealed. Jacobs, a musician, songwriter, and producer, died from injuries sustained in a car accident.
Jacobs, 47, was involved in a single-car accident in Nashville on February 3, 2023. According to reports, he was driving home from a recording session when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a tree. Emergency responders arrived on the scene and transported Jacobs to a nearby hospital, where he was placed in the intensive care unit.
Despite the best efforts of the medical staff, Jacobs passed away on February 8, 2023. At the time, no cause of death was given, and Pickler asked for privacy as she and her family mourned their loss.
Now, three months later, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has released a report that states Jacobs died from blunt force trauma to his head and chest. The report also revealed that Jacobs was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
Jacobs was known for his work in the country music industry. He had written songs for a number of country artists, including Tim McGraw, Garth Brooks, and Trace Adkins. He also appeared on the reality show “I Love Kellie Pickler,” which followed the couple’s daily lives.
Following his passing, Pickler shared a touching tribute to her husband on Instagram, writing, “I will cherish every moment we spent together and hold onto the lessons you taught me forever. I promise to honor you by living a life full of kindness, empathy, and compassion.”
The country music community also mourned Jacobs’ passing, with many artists sharing their condolences on social media. Garth Brooks wrote, “Our hearts are broken. You were an inspiration to everyone you met. You will be missed but never forgotten,” while Trace Adkins added, “You were one of the good ones, brother. Rest in peace.”
