The most recent major change in Britney Spears’ guardianship does not affect her custody agreement with Kevin Federline over their two children.
Federline’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, told LBL that the pair successfully negotiated a custody agreement that would allow their sons Sean Preston, 16, and Jaden James, 15, to look after them. As a result, Kaplan does not believe that the former couple’s contract will be reconsidered in any legal sense, despite her recent legal victory in court leading to the end of her most controversial defense.
“At trial, assuming that the court gives the order to terminate the conversation, I do not see it as a material change of circumstances that creates a need for a custody agreement or modification of the two parties,” Kaplan explained.

She said: “Britney and Kevin, whatever the orders say, have successfully prepared a schedule that will meet the needs and desires of the children and the availability of a parent with or without the protectionism imposed on Britney. I don’t think that will change.”
Spears and Federline got engaged in 2004 and filed for divorce two years later in 2006.

Currently, Federline is the primary custodian of the child, meaning children spend more time with him. However, Spears seems to have no restrictions, let alone see children whenever they want to and when they are older than their own busy schedule. Although her protection was said to be very restrictive in her life, it did not affect her and Federline’s ability to support her children.

Last month, the court ruled that Spears’ father, Jamie Spears, should be suspended from her 13-year-old conservatorship. The judge ordered the control of all Spears’ assets to be assigned to a court-appointed temporary guardian – John Zabel, a certified public accountant.
Spears has been in turmoil for many years inside and outside the court in strategic coordinated efforts to oust his father from his long-standing position as the guardian of his estate. During a bombshell court hearing in June, she revealed her restrictions. The “Gimme More” singer has claimed that she is not allowed to have her contraceptive removed or married.
