Lincoln Project mocked for posting Biden victory lap about China spy balloon: It’s down ‘just like inflation’

Twitter users mocked Project Lincoln congratulating President Biden for shooting down a Chinese spy balloon and reducing inflation in what many saw as a tone-deaf tweet on Saturday.

Although the balloon was spotted in Montana on Wednesday, the US waited until Saturday for the balloon to pass over the Atlantic Ocean to bring it down. Many political figures criticized the reluctance, but the anti-Trump organization celebrated the move and bragged about the president’s accomplishments on Twitter.

“Balloon down, just like inflation. Joe did it,” the Lincoln Project tweeted, along with a video of Biden saying “we’ll take care of it” shared with a report that said ” It appears that China’s spy balloon has now been shot down over the Atlantic.”

Twitter users blasted the tweet for downplaying the threat of the Chinese Communist Party while ignoring past highs of inflation.
