Actress Victoria Lamas is “in love” with Leonardo DiCaprio — but is not dating the Oscar winner, her father, Lorenzo Lamas, told The Post exclusively.
“I know he loves it very much,” Lorenzo said. “I think they met last month. I’m not sure about the situation, but that’s what he told me.”
The 1980s heartthrob confirmed on Wednesday that his 23-year-old daughter had a crush on DiCaprio, 48, after she spotted him getting into the actor’s car during a Christmas Eve call. West Hollywood on December 20.
“He’s very shocked,” Lorenzo, 64, told The Post. “I told her to treat the relationship like a holiday — enjoy it while it lasts. And if it lasts longer than a normal holiday, great. If it doesn’t, save your heart, you know? Because she’s so young.”
The former Falcon Crest star, who has six children, even cracked his dad’s joke as he revealed his daughter was talking about the Titanic star.
“I told him, you know, there are no transatlantic trips with Leo,” Lorenzo joked. “Anyway, I’m excited for him. I know it’s been a while since he’s been in a serious relationship… He has a big heart and he’s willing to give it freely.”
About 15 minutes later, Lorenzo called The Post after being admonished by his daughter, who said she “wanted to keep everything private.
“I only talked to you because I felt something positive would happen, but he doesn’t,” admitted Lorenzo.
“They’re friends, they’re not in a serious relationship,” she continued. “And I want that to be clear.”
Victoria was spotted leaving The Bird Streets Club with DiCaprio in the driver’s seat on December 20.
The two were with a group of people at a West Hollywood club and were not alone in the car.
Lamas then described the relationship as “friendship” and noted that Victoria and DiCaprio met in a “social setting” rather than romantically.
“They were seen at a club in West Hollywood once,” Lamas said. “I mean, it’s not dating.”
If asked Victoria she was still “very shocked” by DiCaprio, Lamas protested: “Yes, shocked, but they’re not dating. He loves her, obviously. But they are not dating and she doesn’t want it because that would be too bad. It would be embarrassing for him if he read something about them dating and they didn’t.

“They’re just friends, but he’s definitely going to be impressed,” she reiterated. “And that was my cautionary tale to him: Take it one step at a time. But right now, they’re not an item. They’re not mutually exclusive.”
