Luis Suarez Ruthlessly criticized Ronald Coman How did he “lack the personality” to make his Barcelona future clear after his infamous phone call?
The 34-year-old Uruguayan striker left Barcelona in 2014 to leave Liverpool and enjoy a six-season spell at Camp Nou.
With Barcelona, Suarez has lifted four La Liga titles, one Champions League, four Copa del Rays, two Spanish Super Cups and one Club World Cup.
The former Barcelona star has now opened up his infamous phone call with Coman, who has bargained for the situation.
Speaking on Twitter with Gerard Romero, Suarez said: “Call from Coman to tell me [I wasn’t in his plans] It lasted for 40 seconds, not a way to say goodbye to the legend.
“First, he told me that I wasn’t on his plans, and then he told me that if he didn’t settle my contract, I was going to play against Villarreal.
“He has a lack of personality to make it clear if he doesn’t want me or if it’s a club that doesn’t really want me.”
Suarez has touched on his relationship with Lionel Messi and how the Barcelona legend is urging him to leave the Camp Nou in the summer of 2020.
Suarez recalled how his family and Messi’s family were going through “the worst time” in the summer of 2020.
“From what I have given to the club, they have been very difficult days,” he said.
“I spoke with Sophia [Suarez’s wife] And Leo after a phone call. All in all, it was a complicated year.
“Messi asked to leave and I was sent in. Both our families were having a very bad time.
