An Ohio man was arrested last week in Cincinnati for allegedly murdering his pregnant girlfriend and her unborn child in front of a 4-year-old daughter, a report said.
The suspect, Antonio Wilcox, 31, is also charged with fatally shooting Michelle McDonald, 31 — who was more than eight months pregnant — at an apartment in the city’s West Price Hill neighborhood at around 6:40 p.m. Friday, police and relative Told WXIX.
“I just feel so much pain that it’s never going to end,” McDonald’s mother Michelle Sanchez told the news outlet while monitoring the woman who was killed Sunday night.
After the shooting, McDonald’s unborn child was rushed to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in critical condition, but died hours later. for WLWT.
The victim’s cousin, Adrian Blasingham, told the news station that he was devastated for McDonald’s parents.
“Within 24 hours, you lose your baby and your unborn grandchild,” he told WXIX.
But Blessingham was grateful for the quick arrest of Wilcox, who he says was dating McDonald at the time of the shooting.
“We got immediate justice, and it shows that God is working with our family,” Blasingem told the station.
Neighbors near the shooting scene told WLWT that Wilcox had moved out of the apartment a few days before the fatal shooting.
Wilcox has been charged with McDonald’s death and faces a judge on Wednesday.
