Virginia Democratic candidate for governor Terry McAuliffe He defended the endorsement by an agency in support of police fraud.
McAuliffe was confronted with the July endorsement by Montgomery County Sheriff Hank Partin’s progressive group, speaking with the Virginia Sheriff’s Association (VSA) on Wednesday from the New Virginia Majority.
Sheriffs say the New Virginia Majority is “a big refund of a police organization that wants to abolish prisons and [Immigration and Customs Enforcement]“And McAuliffe points out that he is proud to receive the approval of the governor’s group.

“Now, first of all, Sharif, I’m proud to accept any approvals. I get hundreds and hundreds and hundreds,” McAuliffe struck back. “The groups that endorse me, I don’t know what they’re going to do.”
“Did I support the repatriation of the police? Do you not have the wit?
“I invested in law enforcement – I spent 25 minutes telling them what I would do for the police. There was no refund. I financed them!”
Partin, who WSHV Notes He previously appeared in a promotional ad for Republican candidate Glenn Youngkin, pushed back against McAuliffe and asked if the Democrat governorship candidate would ever “support” the police.
“I don’t respect that with the North,” McAuliffe responded, the voice rising. “If my four-year record as governor isn’t enough to make you understand how I feel about law enforcement, I don’t respect it with the North.”
“Unbelievable,” said the frustrated sheriff. “I don’t believe the answer to both of those questions.”
McAuliffe cut the sheriff, saying he was “not afraid” of what the sheriff believed.
“I’ve got a record,” McAuliffe said. “And I’m proud of that record.”
