Megyn Kelly says she would make sure Don Lemon would be out of a job if he fired her again in front of colleagues like he did to her “CNN This Morning” co-anchor Caitlan Collins.
“If someone ever yelled at me to the point where I was visibly upset and ran out of the studio, I would fire that person,” the former Fox News star said during his SiriusXM podcast on Friday. “
Kelly said Lemon, who lost his primetime solo gig at CNN as part of an overhaul by new network boss Chris Licht, “better watch out” as his new show “gets on its first legs.” It’s already on its last legs.”
Lemmon’s morning show, co-hosted by Collins and Poppy Harlow, finished last in the ratings against its rivals.
Kelly hailed Collins as a “competent reporter,” though she wondered whether his previous stint as a reporter for Tucker Carlson’s right-leaning news site The Daily Caller played into the tension with the liberal Lemon. He played a role.
In the summer of 2021, Lemon told friends that he “didn’t like” that Collins had worked for The Daily Caller before being hired by CNN to cover the Trump White House.
“She’s somebody that I’m wondering if politics has anything to do with it,” Kelly said, adding: “You can feel the tension. [between Collins and Lemon]”
“They don’t have a great relationship at all, and I don’t think CNN is interested in getting rid of that,” Kelly said of the co-hosts.
Kelly recalls her experience as a television news anchor at Fox News Channel as well as NBC News.
He even recalled an argument he had with then-Fox co-star Chris Wallace.
“I had an accusation with Chris Wallace once,” Kelly recalled. “We were never yelling at each other, and you pick it up right away.”

Kelly said she’s “co-hosted more hours than I can count with too many guys with big egos … and I’ve never yelled at a colleague or let them yell at me.”
She predicted that other women who have had to co-host with Lemon will come forward with their own stories of igniting her anger.

“I’m going to go out on a limb right now and tell you, it’s not the first time,” Kelly said.
“There’s going to be another woman he’s anchored with — I guarantee you — who’s going to come out and say, ‘Me too.'”
He added: “Because it wouldn’t be the first time if you do something like that to a colleague who you broadcast with and you share a show with…”
As The Post exclusively reported Thursday, Lemon, 56, confronted Collins, 30, after the show aired on Dec. 8 and accused him of interrupting her during the broadcast.

“Don yelled at Caitlan, who was visibly upset and ran out of the studio,” a source familiar with the situation told The Post.
Sources told The Post that CNN head honcho Chris Licht learned of the lemon explosion and was said to be horrified.
Another source said Licht sent one of the show’s producers to speak with Lemmon and suggested she take a personal day to “chill.”

A week prior to the December 8 blast, Lemmon had an awkward on-air spat with Collins and Harlow, arguing that the U.S. men’s soccer team should continue to win the World Cup despite the men’s relative lack of success. The women’s team should be paid more.
The dust-up made headlines, citing The Daily Beast Men were “more interesting to watch,” Lemon says. – a comment that Lemmon quickly walked back and insisted was a joke.
