During a recent episode Big Narsti show On Channel 4, Narsty – real name Tyrone Mark Lindo – asked the singer if he could appear as a “hype man” if the girl group played Worthy Farm.
“Yes, I would like to. That would be great,” replied Melanie Brown (aka Scary Spice).
Mo Gilligan then tried to get Brown to confirm the Spice Girls’ home at 23 Glasto. “So you’re playing Glastonbury?” he said. The singer replied: “Yes, I think so! But I have to convince the other four thugs to do it with me!
Gilligan added: “Spice Girls playing Glastonbury?!” Brown said, “Stop it! Shut your mouth! I never said that…”

in a follow-up interview from last weekend’s issue Sunday Brunch (December 4), but Brown’s bandmate Emma Banton (aka Baby Spice) has said the Spice Girls are “not happening” at next year’s Glastonbury.
“If [Mel B’s] it will go away on its own…” he added.
The Spice Girls, who embark on a massive UK/Ireland tour in 2019, are rumored to be taking over the popular Legends slot at Worthy Farm next summer. In April 2019, Bunton revealed that the band had been asked to perform at Glastonbury.
In October of this year, Bunton revealed that Victoria Beckham would be “right now” to join the Spice Girls for a set at Glastonbury. However, the singer said that “no one has asked” the band to play at the 2023 event.
Victoria Beckham explained at the time that she would not be able to take part in a full Spice Girls tour “with my fashion and beauty line, and all the rest of my four children”.
Glastonbury 2023 will take place from June 21 to June 25. Last Friday (December 2), Elton John was confirmed to headline Sunday night (June 25) as his final UK show.
Other acts have yet to be confirmed. eFestivals‘ lineup currently lists Arctic Monkeys and Harry Styles as two other possible performers. The first wave of artists traditionally arrives in March.
Tickets for next year’s Glastonbury went on sale last month. General sale tickets were snapped up within an hour, while coach packs were snapped up in less than 25 minutes. According to the organizers, “demand far exceeds supply.”
Last month, the Spice Girls – minus Mel B – reunited at Geri Horner’s 50th birthday party.
