On the one-year anniversary of the disappearance of 3-year-old Lina Sardar Hill, San Antonio police released a new video showing the last time the child was seen on a playground before she disappeared.
The Texas Department of Public Safety and the San Antonio Police Department reported that Lina went missing from a playground at an apartment complex in the 9400 block of Fredericksburg Road on December 20, 2021.
On Tuesday, police released surveillance footage provided to them by a resident of the apartment complex that showed Lina on a playground with her mother and brother moments before she disappeared.
“At some point in the video, he went off the screen, and that was the last we saw of him on video,” lead investigator Jeremy Volz said in a video posted on the San Antonio Police Department’s social media account. .

Investigators called Lina a “kidnapped child” in an alert when she first went missing.
Detective German Fuentes of SAPD’s Special Victims Unit called the circumstances of her disappearance suspicious and said, “kids don’t just disappear into thin air.”
“Honestly, these suspicious circumstances are based on the age of the child, the fact that there is no evidence of his whereabouts,” Fuentes said in the video.
Fuentes continued, “Somewhere there’s a critical witness. Someone who knows something needs to come forward and reveal it.”
Authorities are asking anyone with information about Lina’s disappearance to call the San Antonio Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit at 210-207-7660 or Crime Stoppers at 210-224-7867 ok
