A Brazilian model and nightclub owner was found dead with 11 stab wounds in what authorities are treating as a homicide.
The tragic incident came to light after the 28-year-old Thais Rocha Secondino’s jeep was found in Sao Paulo, Brazil on February 3. According to the authorities, there were knife wounds on his neck, stomach and back, but the murder weapon is yet to be recovered.
Police suspect Secundino, who owned several nightclubs, was killed over “alleged embezzlement” at her business, police spokeswoman Ivalda Aleixo said.
Authorities have since arrested two suspects in the alleged murder: her 45-year-old male driver, Leandro Aparecido dos Santos, and Cintia Maria Feliciano Pax, 31, one of the victim’s best friends from Secondino. She used to work in a bar.
“The victim’s boyfriend said Thais went to meet her friend to get an explanation from him, but then she didn’t come back home,” Alexo explained. “They deny the crime, but there are strong indications that they participated in the murder of the businesswoman.”

Due to the “heinous” nature of the crime, the two suspects will be temporarily detained for 30 days, the spokesman said, according to Jam Press.
In an attempt to get to the bottom of the caper, the police have impounded the victim’s car along with the suspects’ phones, which they plan to analyze. Authorities are also reviewing CCTV footage that was filmed in the area around the time of Thai’s death.
Investigators declined to provide further details so as not to hinder the ongoing investigation into the murder.
Along with owning several businesses, Secondino was also a fixture on Instagram, where she often posted bikini pictures. He has about 50,000 followers.. In her last post, uploaded two weeks ago, the entrepreneur wrote: “My guiding light is stronger than the eyes that surround me.”
