Nancy Meyers Responds To ‘Holiday’ Sequel Rumors: ‘Too Many DMs About It’


Fans of the 2006 film The Holiday were excited when rumors of a sequel started circulating, but Nancy Meyers has officially shut them down.

“There are a lot of DMs about this – I’m sorry, but it’s not true,’ said the 72-year-old director Instagram.

This reported on Monday The film will return and begin filming in early 2023, starring Cameron Diaz, Jude Law, Kate Winslet and Jack Black.

But apparently not.

Many fans of the film were upset that the rumors were denied, including Katie Couric, who commented on Meyers’ post with a heart emoji.

Winslet, 47, privately shut down rumors about the second part of the film.

The confirmation comes just days after the orchestra performed a live performance of “Celebration in Concert” in London to accompany the film. Meyers shared a video from the performance on Instagram.
