NCT 127 will release the repackaged album ‘seong-i (2 Baddies)’ next month


NCT 127 has been confirmed to release a repackaged version of their latest album ‘seong (2 Baddies)’ in January 2023.

Korean news this morning (December 7). Sport Dongah reports that NCT’s unit is set to release a repackaged version of their fourth studio album ‘seong (2 Baddies)’ released in September. In response to the initial report, a brief statement was released through representatives of SM Entertainment Newsen confirms the news.

NCT 127’s upcoming re-compilation arrives roughly four months after the release of their original single, ‘e-ej (2 Baddies)’, featuring 12 new tracks, one of which is the lead single of the same name. The release of 2 Baddies also marks the boy band’s first and only domestic release of 2022. Prior to its release, NCT 127 released their studio album “Sticker” in September 2021, followed by the repackaged album “Lovely”.

In the project’s four-star review, NME wrote, “For a group that thrives on the chaos and unpredictability of their music, ‘2 Baddies’ is a huge effort by NCT ​​127 to uphold that tradition.”

With NCT 127’s comeback just around the corner, the nine-piece will be appearing in SM Entertainment’s annual winter project this year titled ‘Winter 2022 SMTOWN: SMCU PALACE’. A total of 58 “guests” will appear on the December 26 record, including lead singers Kangta and BoA, as well as veteran actors from TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, and SHINee. Idol groups aespa, EXO, Red Velvet, NCT and its remaining factions NCT Dream and WayV will also be featured.
