Netflix staff dropped the complaint over Terra Field’s resignation, Dave Chappell

Speaking against Dave Chappell’s controversial stand-up special “The Closer”, a Netflix employee said he had resigned by shutting down the volatile period for the streaming giant, which was marked by protests, lawsuits and mulpa.

An employee, Terra Field, a senior software engineer, posted online that he had voluntarily left the company by Sunday. Field, a transgender, criticized Chappell’s October 1 special in which many were derided by the trans community.

“I thought about how things would end, but I am comforted by the closure,” Field said in a resignation letter posted late Monday.

On the same day of her resignation, Field and her former colleague, B.S. According to the streaming giant, Pagels-Miner, a trans-game Launch Operations Program manager, dropped a complaint against Netflix for filing with the National Labor Relations Board.

The complaint alleges that the company caused employees not to talk about working conditions.

Larry Burgess, a labor lawyer representing former employees, said Tuesday that the parties had resolved their differences with Netflix, but declined to provide specifics on the negotiations.

“My clients, Terra and B., are very courageous and inspiring people and are able to shed light on important issues in a thoughtful and meaningful way,” Burgess said.

Netflix did not return requests for comment.

B. Pagels-Minor was sacked by Netflix last month for leaking financial information, including the money paid for the streamer “The Closer”, in a LOVEBYLIFE story. Pagels-Minor denied the allegations.

Field, meanwhile, was suspended in October after speaking out against Chappell for attending an online meeting of senior Netflix executives without permission. The company quickly reinstated her.

The former software engineer said his resignation was the reason for the Pagles-Minor departure.

The two helped organize an employee walk-out on October 20, including a rally at the Netflix offices in Los Angeles, led by trans activists.

Chapel supporters also came out as a group group, clashing with LGBTQ advocates and carrying placards with slogans such as “Jokes Are Funny” and “We Like Dave.”

In the weeks leading up to the walkout, Netflix has faced increasing criticism from celebrities and employees within the company amid suspensions and claims that Netflix’s co-CEO Ted Sarandos defends Chapel’s “creative freedom.”

On the eve of the protest, Sarandos admitted that he had “screwed up” his response to the fall.

“All I have to do in those emails is lead humanity,” Sarandos He told the Wall Street Journal. “I had to recognize the fact that our group of employees was really hurting.”
