New York man stabbed and killed on subway train in ‘provocative’ attack: police


The NYPD is looking for a man who stabbed and killed a 32-year-old man on a subway train early Sunday morning.

According to police, the northbound 2 train was pulling to the 34th Street-Penn stop shortly after midnight, when the 32-year-old was stabbed in the neck by an “unprovoked” attack.

The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The suspect, now wanted for manslaughter, fled the subway station after the attack. He is described as a black complexioned man wearing a white baseball cap, black face mask, gray jacket and black pants with an orange and black checker hood.

Crime in the subway has jumped in recent months, with 94 grand larcenies in transit in September compared to 64 in August and 55 in July, Fox 5 New York. Subway robberies also jumped in September.
