Nick Cannon has revealed why he didn’t want his late son Zen to undergo chemotherapy after he was diagnosed with brain cancer shortly after birth.
Cannon, 42, opened up about her son Zen’s battle with cancer on an episode of “Check In with Dr. David Agus.”
Zen, who was welcomed into the world with Cannon Alyssa Scott, died on December 5, 2021 at just five months old.
“They told me that the best-case scenario is that your son might live to be three or four years old,” Cannon said during the episode, via People magazine. “So when I heard that, I thought ‘quality of life.’ I wanted him to have the best life possible.”

The “Masked Singer” host admitted that she underwent chemotherapy to treat lupus and that she “couldn’t imagine” that her newborn would go through the same disease.
“As an adult, I knew the process,” Cannon said. “I wouldn’t even call it pain. It just sucked everything out of you. I couldn’t imagine what it would do to a newborn.”
Kannon shared a tribute to Zen on the one-year anniversary of his death.
“I can’t believe it’s been a year since the worst day of my life. Such a painful anniversary. Losing a child has to be the hardest, darkest and most depressing thing I’ll ever get over. “No,” he commented. post.

Scott and Cannon are now expecting their second child together, and the birth will be the TV host’s 12th.
He shares twins Monroe and Morrocan with Mariah Carey. Cannon welcomed three children with Brittany Bell. Abby De La Rosa and Cannon have three children together. He also has one child with Lanisha Cole and Bre Tiese.
