‘Officer involved shooting’ in Arizona after reports of firefighters shot at while reponding to blaze


Tucson, Ariz. According to preliminary reports, firefighters were shot dead on Sunday afternoon while responding to a fire in a house.

Tuscan Police Department public information officer Richard Gradillas tweeted Sunday that there had been “an officer involved in the shooting,” but did not disclose any further details.

the sun reported That firefighters received a report of smoke coming out of the windows of a house. Firefighters entered the property and opened fire on them. One of those firefighters was shot in the arm.

Police reached the spot and allegedly exchanged bullets with a suspect. The suspect has not been identified, he has been taken into custody and the fire is now under control.
