Patrizia Reggiani, inspired by ‘House of Gucci’ says she has ‘overwhelming love’ for Maurizio


Patrizia Reggiani is standing by her story.

Ridley Scott, the former wife of one-time luxury fashion house successor Maurizio Gucci, is the subject of a new film, “House of Gucci,” featuring Lady Gaga, Adam Driver, Salma Hayek, Jared Leto and Al Pacino.

The film is based on a 1995 book about Gucci, 46’s murder and subsequent trial and the crime of his ex-wife. Reggiani, who portrayed Gaga, was sentenced to 16 years in prison for murder.

“I’m not guilty, but I’m not guilty,” the 72-year-old said in the new episode. “People Magazine Investigates: Killing Gucci.” The documentary is currently available for streaming on Discovery +.

On Monday, the outlet reported that her marriage was one of the last known American interviews with former Signora Gucci, who alleged that her marriage was “broken by the bad influences of the people around him in the company.”

Released in 2016 after 18 years of service due to good behavior.

Reggiani insisted that she still felt “overwhelming love” for her ex-husband.

Gucci is not the first Italian fashion family to deal with on-screen depictions of tragic events. The Versace family made a statement about the season of Ryan Murphy’s “American Crime Story” in 2018, which dealt with the assassination of fashion house founder Gianni Versace, who said the TV series had not been authorized and should be considered a “work of fiction.”
