While the most important parts of their discussion revolved around the elephant in the room, the attack on her father, Paul Pelosi, at his San Francisco home left him seriously injured.
As reported in October, “House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul, was attacked with a hammer by an assailant identified by police as David DePape early Friday morning at his San Francisco home.”
According to a law enforcement source, DePape yelled, “Where’s Nancy, where’s Nancy?” was looking for the Speaker of the House of Representatives shouting. during the event. Pelosi suffered blunt force injuries to her head and body, including a fractured skull.
During the interview, Pelosi told Lemon that her family was deeply affected by the incident, saying, “We’re still living with it every day.” He told how he “didn’t sleep at night” after the attack.

He added: “You have to understand that an 82-year-old man is sleeping in his own bed and is being attacked in his own home. I don’t care what you vote for. Political affiliation, it’s a big deal either way. It doesn’t fit, so it’s hard to come to terms with it in your head.”
Pelosi later said the attack was “inevitable” after years of GOP political attacks on her mother. She said, “It just happened. It was so inevitable. Pelosi added, “Our whole family has had a target on our backs for a while,” noting how “traumatizing” the incident was for her mother.
