Local and state police in Massachusetts used K-9 units to clear a wooded area near the Cohasset home of a working mother who went missing Saturday afternoon and cleared the family pool.
Cohasset police briefed the media on their search for Ana Walsh at the staging area along Route 3A where the helicopter was circling overhead.
It’s unclear what police were looking for in the pond, and police did not say what led them to the two specific quadrants of the woods.
Cohasset Police Chief William Quigley told “Fox and Friends Weekend” Saturday morning that finding Walsh is the department’s “number one priority.”

The 39-year-old mother of three has not been seen since New Year’s Day. He was reportedly expected to go on a rideshare Logan International Airport in Boston and flew to Washington, D.C., where he works for a real estate company, Quigley said.
He never made it to the airport, according to police, and his family and employer, Tishman Speyer, reported him missing on Wednesday.
As the local search continues, Quigley said detectives will travel to D.C. to follow up on potential leads and conduct interviews with the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department.
“Every hour we’re more concerned for his welfare,” the Cohasset police chief told “Fox & Friends Weekend.”
“We have more questions than answers.

When asked about the two-alarm fire at his former home in a later television interview, Quigley called the statement “a very strange set of circumstances.”
Cohasset Fire Chief John Dockray said the cause of the fire is undetermined and remains under investigation.
But the state fire marshal’s office and the Conesset police said it “does not appear suspicious.”
Walsh’s employer, Tishman Speyer, told authorities in an earlier interview that it was “assisting in the search for our beloved colleague Ana and praying for her safe return.”
It will be treated as a disappearance missing person case So far, Quigley said, there is “nothing to support anything suspicious or criminal.”

Alyssa Kirby, who was identified as a friend of Walshe’s, told WCVB she was worried for her friend.
“She is a loving and devoted wife and mother of three beautiful sons,” Kirby told WCVB.
According to police, Walshe has left no digital footprint since her disappearance and her cell phone has been switched off.
He was first reported missing on Wednesday, the day he picked up his plane ticket from Boston Logan International Airport.
However, he was unable to board that plane and detectives were told he was returning to DC early on New Year’s Day to deal with an emergency involving one of the properties he manages.

Another wrinkle in the case is her husband’s criminal past.
Brian Walshe, admitted his guilt in U.S. District Court in Boston in 2021 after he was arrested several years ago for selling two fake Andy Warhol paintings to a South Korean buyer for $80,000, according to federal prosecutors.
Quigley said the case is unrelated to Ana Walshe’s disappearance. He said Brian Walsh, who said Ana was asleep when he walked out the door Sunday morning, is cooperating with investigators.
Police asked the public to send any information or tips to tips@cohassetpolice.com.
Police describe Ana Walsh as 5 feet 2 inches tall and approximately 115 pounds.
He has brown hair, brown eyes, an olive complexion and authorities believe he speaks with an Eastern European accent.
