Politico’s Daniel Funke wrote at the time, “Is that true? State laws don’t.”

According to the article, the Facebook post was flagged to Politifact as “part of Facebook’s efforts to deal with false news and misinformation in its newsfeed.”

The Facebook post claims that “Rittenhouse violated Wisconsin law by possessing a rifle, but it is” perfectly legal “for teenagers to carry an assault-style rifle in Kenosha,” Funke continued. “At best, it’s not proven. At worst, it’s not accurate. Either way, we rate the post wrong.”

Biden’s picture, which aired on social media, is true but the fact check has ruled that it is “partially false”, writing that it does not “accurately summarize” what happened.

USA Today finally issued the amendment.
