Adding Ramey Malek to childcare while parents are taking a break from their kiddos reads like a logline for slapstick comedy – but the “Mr. Robot” alum said he was actually once offering his childcare service to Kate Middleton.
The actor, 40, appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Tuesday and revealed the time he ran into Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge, “stunned” by their exchange.
“They work so hard to get to know everyone,” Malek told Kimmel, who visits the royal family. “You can see who made any movie they did, their previous films, and they did their homework. I saw Princess Kate at one point, and I said, ‘It must be empty.’ And she said, ‘Why?’
Malek, who reunited with the Duke of Cambridge at the premiere of “No Time to Die” last week, said everything fell apart shortly after the Kensington couple welcomed their third child, Prince Louis, in 2018.

“I said, ‘You just have a baby, right?'” He recalled communicating with Middleton. “I think she’s shocked.”
“She said, ‘How are you?’ “I was like, ‘No, how’s that?’ And in the most royal, elegant way, she gave me a look – but you can tell. Imagine, you dressed for nine, you have to talk to all these actors … “

“She’s very cautious but I think I caught her as a second guard because it’s so cool,” Malek said. “And I have that look – in the most elegant way – yes, it’s great to have a baby.”
Malek then said that he had begun to add to his childcare skills for three royal children: Prince George, 8; Princess Charlotte, 6; And Prince Louis, 3.

“The funny thing about it is, ‘You know, if you ever need a day off — a little time off — I’ll back up for you,'” Malek shared.

“She’s like, ‘What do you mean?'” He continued. “I said, I can babysit for you – you go out and have a good time.”
“After watching the movie, I think they don’t want to babysit you,” Kimmel said, referring to Malek’s villain role in the recent Bond installation.
“It’s so funny,” Malek admitted. “That’s very true.”
