Grayson Smiley, son and stepson of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” stars Slade Smiley and Gretchen Rossi, has died at the age of 22.
Rosie shared the sad news on Instagram on Tuesday, writing, “Our rational minds told us this day might come, but our hearts always hold on to the hope that it won’t.” Grayson Arroyo Smiley A He was such a special person.”
According to one Website hosted by Grayson’s mother Michelle Arroyo, was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 6.
“Grayson is the bravest soul I know,” the website reads. “Every day I marvel at the wonder that my little boy can continue to give all those around him the strength and courage to get us through life’s journey.”

Smiley and Rousey gave their daughter the middle name Skylar Gray in reference to Grayson. Smiley’s second son is Gavin.
“When it came to the middle name, we really wanted it to have a family connection… Suddenly one day, we both looked at each other and we started thinking about her son Grayson, who is sick… on Earth. That’s just the angel.

“He was an angel on this earth and an incredible warrior… a warrior like no one has ever seen before,” he wrote on Instagram on Tuesday. He fought his pain and suffering every day to find joy in the little things. He always sang and danced and laughed despite his circumstances. He was a true beacon of light and hope. Although his life on earth was short, he had an incredible impact on so many people. God knew he had a purpose in life and that he would touch many people along the way.”

“We are eternally grateful for the many lessons we learned from this little man, and will miss his beautiful soul dearly. May the Lord hold him in His arms, renew his broken body, and bless him. Give life again, it’s not goodbye, it’s seeing you. Soon you little man… We love you Grayson. You will always be in our hearts. Love your dad, Gretchen and your sister Skyler Gray. ,” Rossi wrote.
“Please respect our privacy as we mourn this unbearable loss,” he concluded.
Rossi appeared on the reality show during seasons 4 through 8.
