Ryan Reynolds received the Icon Award at the 2022 People’s Choice Awards and made sure to mention his wife Blake Lively, their three daughters and their fourth child during his acceptance speech.
The “Human Project” actor began his speech in typical Reynolds fashion, with a joke.
“I feel like I’m at a funeral, until I have to leave. I think I finally tested positive for the icon. I’ve been avoiding it for years, but here we are.” Reynolds said.
RYAN REYNOLDS IS LITTLE ANXIOUS ABOUT DIRECTING MOVIES.
He thanked many important people in his life, including his mother, three brothers and his late father.
“Boy, if he could see everything that’s going on, he wouldn’t be shocked by these things; he’d be shocked by his three little grandchildren,” the “Spirit” actor said.
Afterwards, he thanked his working family at Maximum Effort and then thanked his daughters and wife Blake.

“I have to thank my family at home – Blake and my three daughters. This will soon be the fourth child. If that happens tonight while I’m here, I’ll be looking for a couch to sleep on for a while… But Blake and my girls, you are literally… you are my heart, you are my hope, you are my happiness.. I joke that my family wears me down, but in reality you give me more strength than any man. probably deserved,” Reynolds said at the end of his speech.
Reynolds’ daughters – James, Inez and Betty – have been with husband Lively since 2012. In September, the two announced that baby No. 4 was on the way.
