Actress Sally Field called the Women’s Health decision in Dobbs v. Jackson “cruel” and “uncivilized” during an appearance on ABC’s “The View” on Tuesday.
Co-author Joy Behar highlighted a portion of Field’s memoir, saying “you had to go to Tijuana to get a secret abortion before it was legal.” He asked Fields what he thought of the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.
“Yes. I think it’s a tragedy. I think it’s criminal. I think it’s cruel. I think it’s uncivilized. I don’t think you can see the consequences of any of this, not just what happens to young women, but what happens to them. “You’re not kidding. We have a terrible problem feeding children, feeding people, taking care of them, and we have no support after they’re born,” Field said.
He added: “Where are the services?”

“You get dropped like a hot potato,” Behar said. The Supreme Court overturned Roe and Wade in June when it ruled in Dobbs v. Jackson v. Women’s Health.
“They only care about conception until birth, and after that they don’t give a shit,” Fields said.
“And maybe the American people will accept another big noise to stop it,” co-author Whoopi Goldberg said.
Field also discussed his new film, Spoiler Alert.

TARISH COUNCIL ANA NAVARRO ALLEGES ‘BREACH OF TRUST’ IN SUPREME COURT
The hosts of “The View” criticized Dobbs’ decision after it was made in June. Host Sunny Hostin, who claims to be pro-life, described the Supreme Court as an “active” court.
“I never believe in abortion. I don’t believe in exceptions,” Hostin said on “The View” on June 27.
“It’s considered very radical to many, and I’m Catholic … so it’s always been a very difficult discussion for me, but what’s not difficult for me is that this is an active Supreme Court and that’s what they have to do. Do not decide the law according to their faith.

Goldberg moved to convene the court in response to the Dobbs decision.
“You have a Supreme Court that is unbalanced between left and right,” Goldberg said in June. “The Supreme Court shouldn’t be like that, because they’re supposed to judge, they’re supposed to be the balance of the country through the courts. They’re out of balance right now, and I think that’s the only way to fix it. Should we sue other people?
