Yash Raj Films’ “Pathan” marks the reunion of two of Bollywood’s biggest stars, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, as super spies Tiger and Pathan respectively.
“Pathan”, part of producer Aditya Chopra’s spy universe, also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham and is directed by Siddharth Anand. Kainat’s other films include the Tiger franchise, starring Salman Khan, and “War,” starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff.
The Khans starred together in “Karan Arjun” (1995) and have since made cameos in each other’s films.
“It was always going to take a special film for Shah Rukh and I to come together on the big screen and I’m glad that ‘Pathan’ is that film. When we did ‘Karan Arjun’, Salman Khan said in a statement. was a blockbuster and now ‘Pathan’, part of YRF’s spy universe, has also turned out to be a blockbuster. Shah Rukh also talked about the fun he had on the sets with Salman. It’s a lot of fun with the brother on set. I missed being with him on screen so it all happened as it should.
“Pathan” released on January 25. and is the biggest Indian box office hit of the year grossing $94.5 million worldwide.
