Sasha Banks was removed from the WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view and has long been absent. However, he made a shocking return to WWE television in Extreme Rules. Since then she has once again become one of the mainstays of WWE Television.
While talking at a Interview with Stone Cold Steve Austin, Sasha Banks revealed why she requested Vince McMahon’s WWE release. McMahon turned down her request and said it would take her 30 days to think about it.
Speaking to BT Sport’s Ariel Helwani, Sasha Banks recalled why she was asked to release him. The best feeling she could ever have come to her.
“I felt like I wasn’t giving my highest good. If I don’t give my best, if I can’t do my best, if I don’t use my best, I really need to find it. I’ve always been a performer who wants to be No. 1 and I felt in my heart that I wasn’t good.
I felt I had done everything I could and I needed that break. I needed that release and Vince said ‘no’ to me. It was a good decision on both sides. He knows what he has seen and he is very intelligent, he is very kind and gentle. He really knew what I wanted, it was ‘time’, everyone in the end needed some time,
Sasha Banks is currently in a feud with Shotgie Blackheart. Even after the WWE Survivor Series they are likely to have a feud with Charlotte Flair, so we’ll have to see how the feud is booked.
