Fox News host Sean Hannity looks at how the liberal mainstream media reacted to Tyr Nichols’ death on “Hannity.”
Sean Hannity: White people are beaten by the police. In fact, far more white people are killed by police each year than any other race, according to an online organization that tracks this data. In 2022, 374 white Americans died during police confrontations. If you average it out, it’s a little over one per day. I don’t know if the ladies of The View know any of the names of the 374 people. Do you think the media mob devotes entire news cycles to these deaths now that they even count them? People were shot dead in Chicago. Any weekend? no way.
So why are these events largely ignored? According to a Washington State University study. Hear It. They were reported by the Washington Post in 2016. “Officers are three times less likely to shoot unarmed black suspects and three times less likely to shoot unarmed white suspects.” And check out this National Bureau of Economic Research study covered by the New York Times. Also, in 2016, “When it comes to the deadliest form of force, police shootings, studies find no racial bias.” So based on both academic studies and real data, There is no systemic racism in policing.. It doesn’t exist.
Now of course there are good cops. And I would say it’s a very large majority and a small majority of bad cops. What we saw in Memphis was terrible policing by really bad cops, but blaming some kind of phantom, omnipresent bogeyman won’t solve any problem. at the Memphis Police Department or any other police department across the country. Now, the left, they apparently aren’t concerned at all.
They are not really interested in improving policing. They seem to only care about their own divisive narrative. Maybe it’s the Democrats, maybe it’s the media personalities, maybe it’s just them. Lying for pure political gain, or they may harbor racist animosity and hatred toward people who are white or Asian or of other races. I dont know. Maybe they just don’t know the facts. Or maybe they’re just overcome with emotion. Maybe they just pick and choose. How is it that 99.9999% of people who die in any form of violence are rarely reported? Truth always matters.
