Shania Twain ‘flattened’ her breasts to protect herself from her stepfather’s abuse

Country singer Shania Twain said Sunday that she flattened her breasts at her childhood home to avoid being sexually abused by her stepfather, Jerry Twain.

The 57-year-old singer said that Jerry Twain physically and mentally abused her when she lived in the house. This is reported by the Sunday Times.

“I would hide myself and flatten my chest. “I would wear a bra that was too small for me, and I would wear two, and I would play it until I didn’t have any girls,” he said. I feel like a woman!” a singer

“Make it easy to ignore. Because, oh my god, that was terrible — you didn’t want to be a girl in my house.”

Twain — who began her performing career at the age of 8 — said she struggled with accepting her femininity because of abuse.

The song “You’re Still the One” detailed the difficulties at first In his 2011 autobiography From This Moment.

In the book, Twain details the times when he had to physically step between his parents, fearing that his stepfather would kill his mother.

“It took a long time to manage that anger. “You don’t want to be the one to attack me in the street,” Twain said. “Because I’ll rip your head off if I can.”

Twain’s parents died when the singer was 22, and the singer spent many more years learning to love her body.

“I could talk about myself and tell a story about myself, the way I moved my body, the drape of the fabrics, the colors, the focus,” Twain explained.

“I’ve never been an exhibitionist to say, ‘Look at my breasts.’ It was really me getting into it. It was a metamorphosis of sorts.”
