Sky TV abandons satellite dish with new ‘Sky Glass’ because it allows people on the internet to get its full service

The sky Removed satellite dish with new ‘Sky Glass’ TV.

Glass is a common television, with a 4K display, built-in Dolby Atmos and five different colors. It costs £ 13 a month and goes on sale in the UK from 18 October.

But it is perhaps the most noteworthy of what it does not have: it gets the full Sky experience through WiFi without a satellite dish.

It is now able to provide all of its programming – including live television, the option to pause and record at any time – over the Internet.

It has installed no satellite dishes in people’s homes, which is impossible in rental housing.

Instead, it provides customers with Sky TV, which connects to a regular home internet connection and can bring TV to it. Sky claims it only takes 10 minutes to set up a new TV. It will be unboxed at the time of delivery and only one cable is required to work.

Sky Television sells as usual for fixed prices: the 43-inch version costs £ 649, while the 65-inch version costs 0 1,048.

But it sells the TV as a phone, with monthly payments starting at £ 13 for the 43-inch version. Sky offers a “swap” feature, which, like phones, allows consumers to swap their TV when a new version of Glass comes out.

Customers will be able to buy a small puck that can be attached to other screens in the home so they can stream the same Sky content to regular TVs.

Sky glass looks a little different from most TVs: it is considerably thicker, comes in five different colors, including strong green and pink, and the option to swap the speaker front grill for special designs. That said, it is designed to look like a technology-like piece of furniture, including the lack of a logo on the front.

The TV also features Dolby Sound, which the company says customers don’t have to buy a separate speaker system for. For example, full Dolby Atmos support for 360-degree surround sound.

Both the sound and the visuals match whatever is shown. For example, when viewing sports channels, the settings change accordingly.

Sky says the existing television market is messy, with many companies offering dozens of different models, making it difficult to differentiate. Instead, it sells only three sizes – small, medium and large.

The new hardware comes with a new software platform. Although it is borrowed from the SkyQueue view, it features new features, including a “playlist” tool, allowing viewers to save everything they need in the integrated library from Sky and other streaming platforms.

Everything can be controlled with the sound features installed on the TV. It can be turned on by asking you to turn on Sky Glass and call channels and shows the same way.

At the time of the announcement, Sky announced a camera that would allow it to sit on Sky Glass and watch video calls or even watch TV shows simultaneously. That will come in the spring of 2022.

Sky already offers some of its TV channels over the Internet through its now-TV brand, but without all the channels or full Sky Q box features. It offers TV over broadband in other countries such as Italy, Austria and Germany.

Traditional Skybox has also incorporated streaming, allowing it to connect to other online services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, as well as Peloton, with an Internet connection.
