Social media star ‘Ali Spice’ 3 dead in Florida hit-and-run, wrong-way crash: officials


Three people were killed in a car crash in Florida, including a popular social media influencer.

Alexandra Dulin, known as “Ali Spice” on Instagram and TikTok, was killed when a Toyota Tacoma she was traveling in struck the wrong way on Interstate 44 shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday morning. was among those, said his father. Fox 35 Orlando.

“It’s still unreal. We still have moments of disbelief,” Dulin said.

“I think you and my daughter always take a lot of pictures. But, we took so many pictures at Thanksgiving, and who knew those were our last pictures?” – he added.

He and two other passengers in the Infiniti died at the scene, the Florida Highway Patrol said. The driver of the Infiniti survived with serious injuries.

According to Fox Orlando, the driver of the Toyota Tacoma fled the scene on foot. Authorities found one passenger alive inside the Tacoma.

“I just want to see justice,” Dulin said.

According to the father, the family has seen an outpouring of support and tributes for his daughter on social media.

“We all knew he was big, but my God, I didn’t know who took him away from this family and his social media world,” Doolin said. “It’s unbelievable to know how perfect strangers are taking care of our 21-year-old daughter.”

Doolin said the family has received messages of condolence, flowers and food.

The 21-year-old social media star started studying fashion design in college, but dropped out after modeling.

“She was a hard-working proud young lady who figured out her own entrepreneurial path … and she did it herself,” Dulin told Fox Orlando. “He knew how to mix the message of helping people and when he needed to, I don’t know if you want to call it spice and get more eyeballs.”

He then gained more than 919,000 followers on social media, including TikTok.

“She intentionally built a following so she had a voice, and then once she had a voice, she used that voice to help girls,” Dulin said.

In a recent post shared on her Instagram account, which has more than 90,000 followers, the Doolin family said they were working with police to find the suspect. The post also discourages people from falsely accusing someone of a crime during an ongoing investigation.

“Our Ali does not want anyone to use social media as a tool to hurt someone by accusing him of a crime that took his life. Our family is working with Florida police to solve this crime,” the post read. “Please let them do their job and don’t let anyone down because you believe someone did.”

It added: “We have every confidence that the person responsible will be caught. If you have any information that you think is valuable, please give it to the Florida police. Let’s only publish what we know to be true. We don’t know yet. who did it or was the driver impaired at the time?

“Our family would like to thank you all for your love and support for Ali. We can’t believe he’s gone,” the post concluded.

Investigators continue to search for the suspect and are working to obtain a search warrant for the suspect’s vehicle, which was taken into custody.

It is unclear whether the suspect was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the incident.
