St. Vincent hosts a new podcast about the history of rock music Listen to History Rock.
This is the second time the musician – real name Annie Clark – has hosted the podcast since 2020. Saint Vincent: Words + Music.
Podcast Audible Inc. and produced by Double Elvis and will be released on January 12, 2023.
It aims to explore the history of rock music, highlighting specific moments in the evolution of the genre.
In the statement [via Clash] Clarke said: “It’s been fun going back through rock history and revisiting some of my favorite artists and songs, including a bunch of songs that didn’t get the credit.
“When you put it all together, you can see how history repeats itself and reverberates across generations, how music connects the past to the present, from artist to artist. And some of these stories are absolutely wild.”
Listeners take a deep dive, including the Sex Pistols’ US tour and meeting Jimi Hendrix and Patti Smith. Check out the preview below.
