WWE Hall of Famer ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin is considered one of the best pro wrestlers in the squared circle. However, Austin was not always as successful as his WWE debut ringmaster. He seems to have wanted a feud with Randy Savage.
Steve Austin started the Attitude Era and became the face of the company. His feuds with The Rock, Triple H and more helped define a generation. Kane believes that his rise to superstardom is an accident.
While speaking Wrestling Rambles 89, Steve Austin spoke about Randy Savage’s pro wrestling career. Austin admitted he regrets not having a proper feud with Randy Savage because he believed Austin’s hatred could be magic.
“It was magical … Randy was at his highest temperature and he was heating up in Memphis and then Vince raised him in the WWF. And he had his hell out of the race.
And when I got hot in the WWF, they went down in the WCW. So, we never crossed paths when the window happened for both of us to jump in and enter a high-intensity program.
After the directionless Ringmaster gimmick, Austin pitched his unique gimmick and launched the Attitude Era alone in the WWE. The rest is just history.
