Steve-O pleads with friend Bam Margera to “choose recovery” during his years-long battle with drug and alcohol addiction.
After Margera lashed out on social media while allegedly under the influence, Steve-O warned his “Jackass” co-star that he was walking a fine line.
“Bam, your five-year-old son was on stage with you at my show last night, and you got to spend a day or two with him — then as soon as you left my show, you stayed up all night. .It was a good idea to post more crap like that,” Steve-O — who has been sober for nearly 15 years — claimed in a now-deleted comment, referring to Margera’s son, Phoenix.
He continued, “You say you want a relationship with your son, but your actions guarantee the exact opposite will happen. I brought you on tour with me in the hope that I would have you.” will be able to see what is possible for you if you choose to recover.”
While the “Wild Ride” host said he’s tried “everything” to help his friend, he knows it’s up to Margera, 43, to “be honest and do recovery work.” Can’t force.
“I wish you knew how much I hate the feeling of disgust at the news of your death, but you make it clear that I have no other choice,” he concluded, “Brother. “You are dying, and it is useless that I can do nothing to save you.”
Page Six has reached out to Margera and Steve-O for comment but had not heard back at the time of publication.
Steve-O is currently touring his XXX-rated, comedy world tour, “Bucket List” with Margera as special guest.
The emotional message came after Margera called out Johnny Knoxville as a “thief” and Jeff Tremaine as a “greedy” in a strange post on social media.
The former friends feuded after Knoxville and Tremaine fired Margera from the 2022 film “Jackass Forever” because he failed to keep calm.
In fact, Margera even filed a wrongful termination lawsuit against the “Jackass” team – which was later dismissed and settled out of court.
The TV personality has struggled with drug and alcohol problems for years. He was sent to rehab in 2018 after being arrested for a DUI — and has been in and out ever since.
In September, Margera was sent to court-ordered rehab but disappeared from the facility. He was found partying shortly after.
He was then put into an outpatient program only to be seen in a Florida bar just days after getting out.
