Prosecutors are facing two additional murder charges against Torrey Murney, 31, after the decomposed body of a pregnant woman was found in his apartment, Montgomery County District Attorney John McCarthy said. FOX 5 DC monday
The discovery came as police were serving a warrant at Moore’s apartment for alleged involvement in the shooting death of a gas station attendant in Maryland.
Moore was arrested and charged in connection with the killing at a Shell gas station in Silver Spring around 3 p.m. Thursday, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said.
Officers arrived on scene to find a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was identified as 61-year-old Ayalyu Wondimu, a gas station attendant, who died at the scene.

A preliminary investigation revealed Moore entered the store, selected merchandise and approached the counter, police said. For unknown reasons, a verbal altercation broke out between Moore and Wondimu. The altercation quickly turned into a physical fight, when Moore allegedly pulled a handgun from his vest and fired multiple shots at Wondimu.
Detectives followed Moore to his apartment across the street. After obtaining a search warrant, police allegedly found the body of a woman Moore was having an affair with at the time of his death, who was eight months pregnant.

The woman’s body was taken to medical examination for autopsy. So far he has been identified as 26 years old and died of multiple gunshot wounds. She was pregnant with a boy, the medical examiner said. Montgomery Police tell FOX 5 she is 38 weeks, or about 9 months, pregnant. His name has not been released, but he is believed to have been dead in the ward for at least a month.
Police officers followed Moore to his apartment and obtained a search warrant.

On Monday, Moore appeared in court for the murder of Wondimu. He was ordered to undergo a mental evaluation and is due back in court on December 19.
It is unclear when he will appear on the two new murder charges.
