The 2022 Ford Maverick may be the smallest truck in the Blue Oval, but it’s still a big deal. It offers an unnatural alternative to the thrill of cheap SUVs and giant pickups that we see endlessly circling our roads without resorting to weird styles or weird tricks. This is a small truck for people who don’t need or don’t need half a ton to drive.
It’s priced for everyone. With a starting amount of $ 21,490, it lowers the cheapest F-150 to almost $ 10,000. Plus, it’s more than $ 5,000 cheaper than the Ranger base. This is also the cheapest new pickup period. However, this is not like the lack of unique truck capability. Despite its small height, the Maverick can lift up to 1,500 pounds in bed and weigh up to 4,000 pounds with a $ 745 4K shooting option. Fully loaded – not counting the countless accessories available, the 2022 Ford Maverick will make a little over $ 35,000.
This $ 21,490 price is only for a base XL similar to a working truck. It offers steel wheels, tinted mirror caps and a 4K gravity package option. It also has some great features such as LED headlights, an 8.0-inch entertailovebylifent display, a rear camera and all the extra equipment of a 4.5-meter-long bed.
If you add a 2.0-liter EcoBoost turbo I-4 engine, you’ll pay an extra $ 1,085. This opens up the option for all-wheel drive, which costs $ 3,305 with the EcoBoost engine, and brings the cheapest AWD Maverick price you can buy to an average of $ 24,795.
The Maverick XLT’s high-tech features include a 17-inch alloy kit instead of XL steels, an existing FX4 SUV kit, and Ford’s Flexbed warehouse installation. It starts at $ 23,775 with a front-wheel drive and a standard hybrid powertrain. As with the XL, the EcoBoost turbo engine upgrade costs $ 1085; the all-wheel drive will again cost $ 2,220, bringing the base price of the AWD XLT to $ 27,080.
The same $ 745 4K Tow kit and $ 540 Ford Co-Pilot360 safety kit offered to XLT customers, as well as the $ 800 FX4 SUV kit (AWD required) and the $ 2345 XLT luxury kit ( power driver seat) 400 watt electric inverter, bed mounting, spray liner, full size spare, heated seats, heater switch area, door windows windows, remote engine start, leather-wrapped steering wheel, LED box headlights and trailer car.
The $ 26,985 Maverick Lariat will serve as the main decoration of the truck, and it will feature a leather steering wheel, seat material called Ford’s ActiveX, two rear USB ports, and an existing Bang and Olufsen sound system. Like the XLT, the Maverick XLT is also available with the $ 745 4K Tow package and the $ 800 FX4 SUV package. Available in a $ 1,459 kit with custom 17- or 18-inch wheels (depending on engine choice), a black-painted roof, black door windows, a hatch, special decals, and a toned cover.
For the busiest Maverick, you’ll want to get the $ 3340 Lariat Luxury kit, which brings with it the XLT Luxury kit as well as customizable cruise control, car center of movement, rear parking sensors, a wireless charging panel, and so on. B&O 8-speaker audio system. As with other Mavericks, the EcoBoost turbo I-4 runs for $ 1,085, while the AWD adds another $ 2,220.
The Base Mavericks are powered by a 191-horsepower gasoline-electric hybrid powertrain consisting of a 2.5-liter I-4 and an electric motor that drives power to the front wheels. Uprated Mavs bought a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 250 horsepower from Bronco Sport Badlands for another $ 1,085. Forced induction four throws its power to standard wheels and four wheels as an option. Maverick’s only real competitor, the Hyundai Santa Cruz, is powered by a 2.5-liter I-4 engine with 191 horsepower. If you need a little more fuss, there’s an optional 2.5-liter I-4 engine with 281 horsepower.
We still don’t know how much Santa Cruz will cost, but you have to have a very good price to compete with the cheapest Maverick. It should be a good fight between the two compact pickups, but at the end of the day we’re both happy to be here.
