The most expensive listing in all Illinois isn’t exactly an elaborate estate, but the $ 30 million penthouse at the Trump International Hotel and Tower, Realtor.com.
Situated in Chicago, the hut is located on the 89th floor in the heart of downtown overlooking the Chicago River with views of Lake Michigan.
But with the hefty price tag, the five-bedroom, nine-bathroom residence is not exactly complete yet.
“It’s halfway completed,” Coldwell Banker Realty’s Chezi Rafaeli told Realtor.com. “Buyers still have the opportunity to customize.”
Kitchen and bathroom fixtures need to be added and the flooring options are left to the buyer. Central heating and air conditioning have already been installed.
“This is one of the most unique properties in Chicago,” Raffaele said, adding that “the best” views “and” it’s still waiting for someone to finish it. “
Spread over 14,000 square feet, the home has a 19-foot-high ceiling in the living room with floor-to-ceiling glass windows. It also has a private access elevator.
Building amenities include a 16th-floor terrace and a 14,000-square-foot spa and health fitness center that includes access to an indoor pool and building restaurants.
There are also housekeeping services and Bellman.
“They help you with your groceries and they meet you in the garage,” Raffaele said. “Generally, condominiums don’t provide that.”
But these building services come under a substantial HOA fee, which is $ 16,635 per month.
The building was designed by Adrian Smith – the same architect who designed the world’s tallest structure, the Burj Khalifa, and plans to surpass the building in the coming years, says Jeddah Tower, listing.
The current owner bought the hut in 2017 for $ 17 million, though he has never lived in it. Rafaeli has revealed that their children have grown up and are now ready to move on.
