He had a good shot at his team’s 2-0 win in the Champions League.
Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay led the celebration, enthusiastically praising the England winger – with the club’s leader saying: “You deserve it!”
However, Fernandez cut a less passionate man because he was unhappy when the winger found the back of the net.
The Portuguese, who started chewing the European match on the bench, set up Sancho – but their teammate did not celebrate just after his team’s advantage doubled.

Player response to Jadon Sancho’s goal: 100:
Fernandez’s muted celebration went unnoticed by Man United fans on social media.
One tweeted: “Bruno and Sancho are not friends !! How did they celebrate Sancho’s first goal when he offered help? Something’s not right here.”
The sophomore wrote: “Bruno Fernandez was not happy after scoring the goal because he started off the bench.”
A third added: “Am I the only one who noticed Bruno was angry for thinking I was on the bench?”
Speaking after finishing in the next round of the competition, Michael Carrick challenged the 21-year-old to show the world just how talented he is.
The caretaker boss said: “He will get better after he plays. The goal is clear and for Jadon it will be a great boost for him.
“I thought his performance as a whole, I know how much he likes the ball at his feet, where he is most pleased, but the most enjoyable for me is the effort and application he made with the ball.
“Sometimes he didn’t see the ball enough but he was working and he played a big part in the team’s performance.
“You earn your reward, he embodied the team to dig the show but at other times to enjoy the ball.
“What’s ahead and how he kicks it is up to him. He has all the talent in the world and he has our support. That’s for sure.”
Sancho is looking to score his first Premier League goal for Man United as he resumes his campaign against Chelsea on Sunday.
