Steve Cooper’s team, which currently ranks ninth in the Championship after a mixed fortunate season, came as a big shock to the late Lewis Grubben Strike on Sunday afternoon.
It was the team’s best performance against Premier League opposition and was influenced by a number of individuals, including center midfielder Garner.
James Garner game by numbers against Arsenal:
100% aerial duels won
76% pass accuracy
41 total touches
6 Ball recovery
3 ground duels won
2 successful long passes

The 20-year-old, who spent the second half of last season at City Ground, is currently receiving a season-long loan from Manchester United – his third consecutive loan spell from Old Trafford.
After a solid campaign last season, Garner has continued to make an impact since renewing his loan, making a total of 20 appearances in the playoffs.
And once again, he looked comfortable in and out of possession against tough opposition.
You can watch the compilation of his performance against the Gunners below.
Garner’s performance definitely made fans talk. Manchester United have looked weak at center positions this season, with the likes of Fred, Scott McTominay and Nemanja Matic coming under criticism.
McTominay may be one player who has found form in recent weeks but a large section of fans believe he needs to strengthen in that central area. Could Garner be his problem solver, then?
A lot of people on Twitter have been impressed by their efforts in the FA Cup.
In that role, James Garner could save Man United a lot of money

James Garner is showing what we have lost at Manchester United in midfield. I knew he was ready to play for us. Honestly this crap is enough.

I said it last season and now I’ll say it. Get James Garner in that midfield.

It was reported last week that Premier League fighters are planning to make a surprise sweep to sign Garner after a loan deal in Everton Forest.
Rafael Benitez is a fan of the 20-year-old midfielder and weighs in on the move in the second half of the season, Football Insider claims.
