Kanye West opens up about all the drama that emerged when he bought a house across the street from his divorced wife, Kim Kardashian.
Although their divorce has not yet been finalized, Kardashian, 41, filed for a “legally lonely” last month, saying her marriage was “irreparably broken”.
A few weeks later, it was revealed that West, 44, had purchased a $ 4.5 million teardown directly from the home he designed and built with the Kardashian. He bought the house from West for $ 23 million.
Now West has confirmed that his children need a closer home.
“My consolation comes from watching my kids and having a solid schedule. That’s why I got home,” West explained Hollywood’s Unlocked Jason Lee. “[It was] I turned around and saw that there was something wrong with getting the house beside my children.
“When my mother took me from Atlanta to Chicago, you see that my father had never come to the coldest and most dangerous city in the world. [me], ”West added. “He said, ‘I’m going to stay in Atlanta.’
“With my career, with this rap, with this media, with nothing, it keeps me away from my children. And I want everyone to know, ”he said. “Don’t play with me, don’t play with my kids. There is no security between me and my children and you will not gaslight me.
A source previously told The Post that it had all fallen to “logistics” so that they “have access to them at the drop of a hat.”
Located in Hidden Hills, the five-bedroom, four-bathroom home is old, with shaggy beige carpets and vintage wood paneling.
West was fortunate with the timing because it was the first time the former owner had sold the home and land for 67 years.
The “Donda” rapper was so desperate for land that he paid $ 421,000 more than the seller’s asking price.
West recently shelled out $ 57.3 million for an oceanfront Malibu estate.
Meanwhile, West hopes to unload one of his Wyoming ranches, which he listed for sale in October for $ 11 million.
